Maybe there is more to it than just the signage.
I had lunch at one of the restaurants there on Sunday and have to admit that I wasn’t impressed. The closed, fire damaged properties didn’t help but I thought the area looked “tired” and in need of some TLC. The thing that was most glaring though was how dirty some of the restaurant shop fronts were. I’m not talking “dusty”, I’m talking “dirty”. If the properietors have no pride in their premises they only have themselves to blame if customers go elswhere - there are plenty of places in Coffs Harbour to eat and if you treat customers badly they will vote with their feet even if it is only to walk next door.

Whereas traffic has been reduced, business along the strip has crawled to an all-time sLOW this past season… I know for a fact there are families suffering from the lack of trade, people struggling to make ends meet that have children to support, what do they do? Go into bankruptcy? it’s heading that way! These are mainly independently owned businesses. How many more ‘meetings’ will it take?
How difficult would it be to put an icon of a plate with a fork, universal for “restaurant” and even an icon of a bed, universal for “lodging” … These can be placed on either side of the word “Jetty” — there’s plenty of space.
Travelling along Orlando St / Harbour Dr, around the jetty area.
Sign for “Jetty Foreshores” at the intersection opp Jetty Village Shopping is quite small (green not brown). No signage about Jetty area in either direction before you get to the Marina Drive turnoff.
Then once on Marina Drive, no signage at roundabout to where the jetty actually is or what is straight ahead at roundabout.
Then coming back in opposite direction (heading west along Marina Drive), you get to the intersection of Harbour/Orlando and NO signage of what is left (ie town/Hogbin Drv/Sawtell) or right (Park Beach/Pacific Hwy)
Maybe there is more to it than just the signage.

Very confusing for tourists.
Also agree with ntrillon comments above.
